Issac and Campbell Ball Bag; Confederate Percussion Cap Box
$30.00
Description
Over 8,206 Issac and Campbell Ball Bags were sent to the Richmond Arsenal as scrap leather between the years 1863-1864, due to the fact that the British system of taking the cartridges out of the cartridge boxes and putting them into the ball bag was a concept the confederates could not get use too. The confederates used the ball bags to make percussion cap boxes. Old sew marks could be seen on these boxes and the Issac and Campbell markings could be found on the flap as well.
