Description
An 1859 Enfield Cartridge Box, 1860 model or 1871 model that has been converted for the Snider Enfield and Martini Henry Rifles. Comes with White Buff Sling. (The Civil War imported version can be found in the Civil War, then imported cartridge boxes section.) Tin inserts included.
The 1859 sergeant model has cap pouch sewn onto the box, implement pouch on top inner pouch and is 7 x 3″. It has five compartments in the tin insert. It has a domed flap.
The 1860 rank and file model has cap pouch sewn onto box, but is 7 x 3 1/4″. It has five compartments in the tin insert. It has a domed flap.
The 1860 commerical model was sent to colonial forces and the Confederate States of America. It has a flat flap.
The 1871 snider conversion model does not have a cap pouch sewn onto the box and has two compartments in the tin insert. It has a domed flap.
